Ashfield MP Gloria de Piero joined 51 other female MPs to back an international campaign.
The women joined international politicians and celebrities who have already pledged their support to the #BringBackOurGirls campaign set up to rally for the release of 250 Nigerian schoolgirls who have bee kidnapped.
After she held the #BringBackOurGirls banner, Gloria (pictured above in white) joined the other MPs in signing a statement at Westminster.
It read: “We, as female MPs, stand with women worldwide in condemning in the strongest possible terms the sickening crimes being perpetrated against schoolgirls in northern Nigeria. The brutal treatment of girls seeking an education – a right we take for granted for our daughters – demonstrates the cruelty and immorality of this group. “We hope there is an end to this heartbreaking situation as soon as possible.”
