Brave Giltbrook mum Hayley Ruddy successfully completed her 85ft abseil down the side of the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham — a charity challenge inspired by her seriously-ill son.

So far she has raised £433 for CLIC Sargent which has supported her since her six-month old son Joey, who is being treated at the QMC, was diagnosed with leukaemia at just nine weeks old.

Hayley said she was delighted with the support she had recieved while fundraising and Hayley’s cousin joined her at the top of the hospital to offer encouragement.
