Nottinghamshire residents are being reminded that they can report potholes to the county council via its customer service centre and website.
The council’s highways teams regularly check the roads but, increasingly, members of the public are playing their part.
And since its introduction in 2010, the council’s online reporting system has proven a huge success.
Last year the council repaired more than 34,400 potholes. Over the same period it received 5,478 pothole-related enquiries.
Director of highways Andy Warrington said: “With the best will in the world we can only inspect a road so often and the online system is a real success story.”
Anyone wanting to report a pothole can visit nottinghamshire.gov.uk or call 0300 500 80 80.
