An open day is being held next Sunday, June 8, for Guardian Angels, a charity that rescues and supports parrots in need of help.
Run by a bird lover from Eastwood, Rebecca Blagg, the charity only launched two months ago to help pay for food costs and vet bills.
Rebecca said that people will be able to see Charlie, the popular Eastwood parrot with no hair, as well as a big selection of other birds.
She added: “At Guardian Angels we help whoever, we wouldn’t turn anybody down in need of help.
“For me, it’s all about the health of these birds.”
The event will be held at 26 Wood Street, Eastwood, between 11am and 5pm.
