Residents are being warned that the Eastwood register office has had to close temporarily due to ongoing IT problems.

The office is based at the town’s health clinic on Nottingham Road and is available for residents giving notice of marriage and the registering of births and deaths by appointment.

Nottinghamshire County Council is currently working on the office’s IT system to address current problems and appointments will take place at its Hucknall office on Vine Terrace until the issues have been resolved.

The Eastwood registrar will be based at Hucknall on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9am to 4.30pm.

Councillor Glynn Gilfoyle, Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council’s Community Safety Committee, said: “We’d like to apologise to Eastwood register office customers for any inconvenience caused and we hope to resume our normal arrangements as soon as possible.”

The Hucknall register office is based on Vine Terrace in the town in the Under One Roof building.
