A charity ball held to mark Broxtowe Borough Council’s 40th anniversary raised an outstanding £1,785.
The money raised will go towards the Broxtowe Mayor’s chosen two charities, Treetops Hospice and The Helpful Bureau in Stapleford.
Around 280 guests enjoyed a three-course meal and danced the night away at the ruby-themed event.
One lucky guest took home a Paul Smith handbag worth £489 in a charity auction, and first prize in the grand raffle was a double glazed PVC door worth £800, courtesy of KLG Amazing Glazing,
