Mornington School star awards

Certificates and badges rewarding progress, effort and excellence have been presented to 12 pupils nominated by staff from different year groups at Nuthall’s Mornington Primary School.

At a ‘Star Awards’ special assembly, head teacher Linda Azemia and special guest former Head teacher Robert Carlyle, handed over certificates and badges to the delighted achievers.

The recipients were Matthew Jackson, Lizzie Hindson, Tom Hutton, Bella Cross, Jai Passi, Vaed Tumurugoti, Kai Penna, Lee Harrison, Leila Fletcher Smith, Beniah Daniels, Luke Chambers and Gemma Reynolds.

The ‘Star Awards’ are presented in recognition of excellent work in various subjects, to pupils who are good role models, or who have shown good attitudes, made admirable progress and have set an example to others.

Head teacher Linda Azemia said “ Our school has much to be proud of. not least an abundance of outstanding pupils who contribute to its success.”
