Creepy crawlies, ghostly crafts, spooky storytelling and a special Hallowe’en prom are just some of the activities on offer this October half term at Eastwood’s DH Lawrence Heritage Centre.
The packed programme includes a Hallowe’en Havoc event on October 23 from 10am to 3.30pm where snakes, spiders and frogs will visit. There will also be arts and crafts and a fancy dress competition.
The following day there will be Hallowe’en arts and crafts and a ‘terrifying’ exhibition trail from 10am until 4pm. Between 3pm and 5pm there will be ghoulish disco music so children should come dressed to impress in their best Hallowe’en costumes.
Between October 19 and November 2 there will be drop-in Hallowe’en arts and crafts Tuesdays to Sundays, 10am until 4pm, where kids can follow the terrifying trail around the exhibition and take home what crafts they make.
There will be Naughty, Nasty Stories for Little Imps and a spooky Hallowe’en walk on the Friday, October 25 at 11am. This will include an animated spooky storytelling walk to Colliers Wood for five to nine-year-olds, including monstrously wicked tales of mischief and misfortune featuring frogs and giants, witches and ghosts.
