A Brinsley woman known affectionately as ‘The Marmalade Lady’, has enjoyed sweet success by making and selling a variety of marmalades and jams to support the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshires. Air Ambulance Service charity.
Molly Quigley (pictured),of Broad Lane, has been putting her culinary talents to good use and in the past five years she has supported the service, her latest endeavours bringing in £144.
A familiar figure in the local community, Molly was a dinner lady at Brinsley Primary School was a founder member of the 1st Brinsley St.James Guides and is currently Chairman of the Brinsley Women’s Fellowship group.
Just for good measure she is a member of the relatively newly formed Eastwood Community Choir.
In recognition of her fund-raising efforts for Air Ambulance, Molly was sent a certificate of merit and a special letter of thanks from the organisation’s officials,
“ I have always liked being in the kitchen and baking and making pots of marmalade and jams. The Air Ambulance is a very worthwhile charity and I am pleased to be able to play a small part in helping it to carry out the vital work that it does.” said Molly
