The busy programme for the Eastwood Arts Festival continues this week.
There are still plenty for residents and vsitors alike to get involved in.
Here are the events to look forward to this week:
Saturday July 26:
This free art exhibition of work from local artists runs on both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm.
Venue: The Wood Gallery, 37 Scargill Walk, Eastwood.
Free 2.5 mile walk led by an expert and will stop at various points to use natural materials to make your own art pieces.
Venue: Meet at 1pm at Beauvale Abbey Farm, New Road, Moorgreen. Booking essential.
Sunday July 27:
The Pit, Plough and The
Learn about local history with readings, talks, poetry and prose by Eastwood Chapter and Verse. Includes auction for Macmillan Cancer Charity. 11am-9pm,
Venue: Sun Inn, 6 Derby Road, Eastwood.
Tuesday July 29:
Printmaking workshop using Natural and Recycled Materials
Learn a variety of printmaking techniques including all created with water-based printmaking ink and by the end of the family-friendly session take home some of your very own prints and a greeting card which features one of your prints. 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4pm.
Venue: Plumptre Hall.
Cost: £5 per person
Thursday July 31:
Storytelling Sessions for Children
Free workshop for children up to five years old.
Venue: Eastwood Library.
Friday July 25:
The Art Group in Eastwood Open Morning.
Join members of the art group for a free and open session including discussion and painting demonstrations and a small exhibition.
10am-12noon. Venue: Dora Phillips Hall, Wood Street, Eastwood.
