Time is ticking to have say on wards

Time is ticking for local people to have their say on where the borough’s new ward boundaries should be.

The Government Boundary Commission is asking people and organisations for their help to produce a new pattern of wards for 44 borough councillors.

Max Caller, Chair of the Commission, said: “We want people to tell us where they think the focal point of their community is and where the natural boundaries between communities might lie. We will try to ensure that each councillor represents roughly the same number of voters.”

Email reviews@lgbce.org.uk or visit consultation.lgbce.org.uk by February 19. The new wards will be published in April.
