A special Victorian Day with a twist attracted more than 350 people who were transported back in time to the roaring 1920s.
The DH Lawrence Heritage Centre on Mansfield Road in Eastwood played host to the free event last Saturday afternoon, as our photos show.
A jazz and cocktail band fronted by Jeanie Barton played while visitors browsed vintage cars, art deco craft stalls, vintage jewellery and Victorian fashion, while visitors were encouraged to follow the dresscode from the era.
The DH Lawrence Bistro put on a suitably 1920s-themed Italian Speakeasy menu for visitors.
Heritage services manager Sally Nightingale said she was delighted with how successful the event was.
“We hope we will be able to provide more events like this in the future with the help of Broxtowe Borough Council and our wonderful volunteers.” She added: “Everyone had a fantastic day and I think a lot of us forgot what decade we were really in.”
