A total £30,453 was raised for charities last year at Asda in Langley Mill, and £18,607 of that was raised by local groups and causes through in-store collections and bag packing.

The Let’s Help Alfie Walk campaign raised more than £8,000 in June and £3,422 was raised for Tickled Pink and Children in Need.

Community Life champion at the store Sharon Allsopp, said: “It’s all down to our generous customers.”.
