Kids dressed up as their favourite book character for World book Day on Thursday, March 6.

Pupils at Springbank Primary School in Eastwood came dressed either as a clone of their favourite book character or in their pyjamas, while kids at Awsworth Primary School were asked to come sporting a hat worn by their favourite book character.

As well as dressing up at Kimberley Primary School, teachers arranged for a ‘book swap’ where pupils brought in a book that they had enjoyed reading at home to swap with another child.

World Book Day is an annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading, with events going on in more than 100 countries across the globe.
