The photos have now all been taken in the Advertiser’s Pet of the Year competition.

Now we have the mammoth task of whittling those down to the pets that will be in the running for top prizes .

It isn’t an easy task as we have had well over 100 entries.

Once that is done, all the photos will appear in the paper in the coming weeks, giving you, the readers, the chance to vote and select the winners in two categories.

You will be able to vote by text or post.

The competition is being run in conjunction with John Booth Photography, of Ilkeston, and the Lawrence Veterinary Centre on Nottingham Road, Eastwood.
