A girl from Eastwood is set to be a cut above the rest as she has her waist length hair chopped for charity.
Phoebe Bradley, 11, is raising money for the children’s charity When You Wish Upon A Star and will be donating around 14 inches of her hair to Little Princess Trust.
Phoebe will be having her locks chopped today (Friday June 20) at Style 2000 in Eastwood and has already smashed her £150 fundraising target with well over £200 being raised so far.
Her hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children undergoing cancer treatment.
The money she raises will go towards When You Wish Upon A Star, a charity that helps make the dreams of terminally ill children come true.
Angie Manchester, Phoebe’s grandmother, said that all the family are supporting her.
She added: “Her mum asked her if she was sure about it, but she has wanted to do it for a long time now and is looking forward to it.
“She has always wanted to help sick children.”
Springbank Primary School in Eastwood, where Pheobe is a pupil, is also supporting her fundraising with a non-uniform day with all the proceeds going to the charity.
