A WOMAN from Kimberley became the envy of sports fans across the UK after winning a competition to have lunch with Olympic Cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy.
Lesley Dudley won a Lloyds TSB competition for her and her daughter, Natasha, to have lunch with Sir Chris at Manchester’s fashionable Lowry Hotel, near to the Velodrome where the star trains with fellow British cyclists.
Lesley said: “It was fantastic to meet Sir Chris and talk to him about his amazing career to-date, as well as look ahead to next year and his goals for London 2012.
“It was great to have lunch with a living Olympic legend. It has made me even more excited about the 2012 Games.”
At the event, Sir Chris said he hoped the Games would be ‘the most successful in history’.
