Two coffee mornings were held in Eastwood and Awsworth to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Care.
Pauline and Michael Parks sold coffee and cakes at their home in Church Walk, Eastwood, and raised £400, and Emma Hemstock hosted an event at Awsworth Village Hall and raised £134.
Both events were part of the charity’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee morning.
Pauline said: “We’ve done a coffee morning now for five or six years and people look forward to coming now. We just think it’s such a worthwhile charity to support.
“We do it as a bring and buy with people bringing cakes, pickles and all sorts and then we just ask for donations. “We don’t charge a set price for anything.”
