Children in Kimberley ran the equivalent of a marathon to raise money for a local charity.

Twenty-six groups of pupils at Giltbrook Primary School ran a mile each – – and raised money for the Ryan Lee Trust.

The ‘Race for Ryan’ event was set up to mark what would have been Ryan’s last term at secondary school.

The teenager died at the age of 15 from a brain tumour.

His family set up the trust to raise money for specialist equipment so terminally-ill children can live their final days out at home and not at hospital.
