WINNERS from the Moorgreen Show were presented with their trophies at a special awards evening.

Cups and trophies rewarding successful exhibitors in more than 50 different classes were presented by Broxtowe Mayor Jacky Williams, Radio Nottingham presenter John Holmes and the chair of Greasley Parish Council, Christine Bird.

Bettina Edmonds won the cake making category and Carol Taylor and Avis Harrison both won the floral category.

Also among the winners were David Hodgkinson from Eastwood, Graham Limb from Selston and Norman Pyart who lives in Giltbrook.

The Moorgreen Show was held on August Bank Holiday weekend and saw over 1,500 visitors.

There were all the usual displays, shows, demonstrations and stalls of everything agricultural and horticultural.
