EASTWOOD MP Gloria De Piero visited Springbank Primary School as part of ‘Parliament Week’ last week.
Gloria spoke to children about her job and explained about some of the work she does in her role as MP.
The kids were then given the opportunity to quiz her, where nine-year-old Brandon wanted to know why there were not enough police on the streets during the riots and 10-year-old Alicia tackled her over empty shops on the high street.
“The kids asked some great questions and they certainly kept me on my toes,” said the MP. “I can definitely see a career in journalism for some of them! It was good to give the kids the chance to play an active part in the week.”
