The community of Aldercar is celebrating the completion of a £28,000 makeover to a flash nature reserve.
Improvements include a brand new access track, a new pond, and improved habitat for birds.
New hedges and fences have also been added, to improve the area.
Speaking about the facelift, Erin McDaid from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust said: “We are delighted that we have finally been able to make big improvements to this great little nature reserve. For too long, the wet entrance area has meant we haven’t been able to gain proper access, to realise the full potential of the site. It will now thrive once more.”
