Neighbours guilty of shoplifting

Two neighbours from Langley Mill have been convicted of shoplifting £244.91 from ASDA in Derby.

Nicola Fletcher, 42, and Diane Smith, 51, both live on Hillside and were caught shoplifting from the supermarket on September 12.

Both women pleaded guilty at Southern Derbyshire magistrates court to the charges on September 26.

The stolen items were not identified and were referred to as ‘miscellaneous goods’.

Fletcher and Smith were handed a conditional discharge for 12 months by the magistrates.

They were also ordered to pay ASDA £15 each and £85 each to the court.
