A HELPDESK has been set up at Eastwood library to allow people to get information about a variety of Nottinghamshire County Council services.
The library now has an advice point manned by staff who can help with completing forms.
Visitors can find out about things such as blue-badge applications, social care, free school meals and recycling centre permits.
The advice point is open on Thursdays from 9am until 4pm.
Deputy council leader Cllr Martin Suthers said the development cut the travelling distances for people seeking help.
“These customer service points are a lifeline to many local people who prefer face-to-face contact for information on a wide range of issues.”
