A new war memorial in Nuthall which will serve as a lasting tribute to local men who lost their lives in the Great War will be dedicated at a special service.

The service will take place from 3pm on Sunday 21 September at the Basil Russell Recreation Ground off Maple Drive in Nuthall.

Special guests will include the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Colonel Tim Richmond, and Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry, as well as civic dignitaries.

The Ilkeston Brass Band will contribute to the event to which everyone is invited to attend.
