Time is ticking to submit your entry for this year’s photo competition, and entries have been flooding in.

After the success of the Advertiser-staged Life Thru the Lens last year in conjunction with Specsavers of Bath Street, Ilkeston, it was an easy decision whether or not to run it again this year.

So once again we have joined forces with Specsavers to offer a top digital camera, worth hundreds of pounds, as the first prize,

There are no age restrictions so all that is left is for you to take a look at our rules below, grab your camera or smartphone and get out and about in the area.

Your subject is up to you but it must have a clear link to Eastwood or Kimberley.

So whether you want to snap flowers, buildings or landscapes, it’s up to you.

Entries will be showcased on page 2 of the Advertiser for the next few weeks and once we close the entries, a team of judges will sift through all the photographs and narrow them down to ten finalists before choosing the winner.

The finalists images will be exhibited at a presentation night at the Specsavers store.

How to enter:

Photographs must have been taken within the last year and the competition is limited to two entries per person.

Tell us where and when each photograph was taken.
