TODAY sees the launch of our Jubilee Jam Jars campaign to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this summer.
Through the new campaign we are seeking to raise enough cash to plant new trees in Eastwood’s Coronation Park and Kimberley’s Hall Om Wong Park which will stand as a legacy to this remarkable milestone.
I hope that our generous readers will rally together and get behind our fundraising efforts to leave a lasting reminder in our Jubilee parks of the Queen’s 60th anniversary on the throne.
Following on from the excitement of the Royal wedding last year, I’m sure many local residents will already be thinking about and planning street parties to mark the occasion.
I’m sure it will be a fantastic weekend with families across our area getting involved and we want to play a part in that.
So if you are one of those people then make sure you get in touch and let us know what you will be doing.
