COUNCILLORS in Greasley have launched a project to put together a ‘parish plan’.
The councillors will hold meetings and consult with the public over the coming months to decide how the parish could be improved and what areas needed investing in.
Broxtowe Borough Council’s principal officer for communities Marice Hawley gave a speech at the latest Greasley Parish Council meeting, informing councillors how to go about the project.
She said the community was the ‘most important part’ of it.
The first public meeting was held last Tuesday, and the councillors will discuss the plan at the next full council meeting.
Parish plans look at rememdies for socio-economic and environmental issues and can help improve everything from leisure centres to grass verges.
