Broxtowe Borough Council has been helping the elderly get to grips with modern technology this week.

Council officers taught pensioners how to use computers, smart phones and iPads as part of Older People’s Day on Tuesday, October 1.

People from all over the borough were invited into the council offices in Beeston and were shown how to use facebook, how to pay their bills online, how to text, how to catch up on missed television programmes and how to shop online.

The council hosted various other events at retirement schemes across the borough to mark Older People’s Day.
