Plans for a new farmers market to be held at the Giltbrook Retail Park have been scrapped.
The committee that organised the market said the plans are with Broxtowe Borough Council’s planning department, which is looking at ‘administrative problems’.
The first market was held in June, and the second was due to be held last Saturday, but was cancelled.
The monthly farmers market in Kimberley will, however, continue to go ahead. Taking place this Saturday between 9am and 1pm on Toll Bar Square, there will be all the usual stalls selling cheese, chutneys, meat, vegetables and even Indian food.
