PM sees sense on medals for heroes

Commonsense has prevailed! War heroes who risked their lives during the courageous Arctic convoys of World War Two can now accept medals offered by the Russians to mark their bravery.

Previously, red tape dictated that they couldn’t receive the honour due to the length of time that has passed since the conflict.

Thankfully the government has seen sense and made a u-turn with PM David Cameron giving the green light.

Among those to benefit will be Don Reynolds, of Kimberley (see front page).
