Nottinghamshire Police are warning residents after bogus Postcode Lotto letters have been dropped through letterboxes.

The letters says the recipient has been selected during a draw in Spain for a prize totalling hundreds of thousands of pounds.

It says the recipient should make contact within two weeks and expect to pay a processing fee.

Samantha Hancock, from Nottinghamshire Police said: “You cannot win a competition you did not enter, and you should never have to pay a ‘release fee’ to claim your prize.”
