EASTWOOD MP Gloria De Piero visited each of the town’s sheltered housing complexes last week.

Ms De Piero toured three sheltered housing schemes with Cllr Milan Radulovic looking at improvements at each of the sites.

The MP said: “The residents I met were happy and positive about the improvements. It just shows how important it is to invest in housing and I hope the council’s cuts don’t get in the way of continued investment.”

The 26 Phoenix Court flats have had new window frames, the Newthorpe Common scheme, spread over Commons Close and Halls Lane, has had new doors and windows and Glebe House, which has properties in Lawrence Avenue, Linwood Crescent, Sherwood Drive and Plumptre Gardens has had an updated entrance area.
