Children are being asked to design a poster showing what Europe means to them.

The Spirit of Europe Children’s Poster Competition is open for budding artists, aged four to 11.

Entries can be influenced by anything European, including favourite foods, places to visit, sports teams, flags, languages, music and people.

The posters should be on A4 paper or card and can be a drawing, painting or collage. The back of the poster should include the child’s name, age, address and a phone number.

Entries must be in by October 4. Prizes, broken down into age categories with first second and third place, include £25 book tokens and mini craft sets. An overall winner will receive a £50 book token.
