PUPILS at Lynncroft Primary School in Eastwood have graduated from a drugs awareness course.
The children in year six were presented with certificates to mark the end of their course with DARE – Drugs Abuse Resistance Education.
The pupils followed a ten-week programme teaching them about the dangers of smoking, alcohol, solvent abuse and drugs. They were also taught about peer pressure and how to respond to it.
The majority of the funding came from the PTA.
Headteacher Sara George said: “Without the funding we couldn’t have done it so we were very grateful. The course went very well.”
At the graduation ceremony the pupils performed short sketches highlighting to their audience of parents and other pupils in the school what they had learned.
