Pupils’ help for heroes

PUPILS at Kimberley School raised £1,600 for the Help for Heroes charity after a fundraising event was suggested by a GCSE student wanting to be a soldier.

Tom Wilson approached teachers asking if the school could raise money for the charity, that helps wounded soldiers and their families.

They had a non-school uniform day and sold sweets, cakes and Help for Heroes wrist bands and did a penalty shoot-out.

Tom is in the army cadets and wants to go into the army after doing his GCSEs.
