Pupils join London big band challenge

MORe than 100 pupils from Selston Arts and Community College joined a national initiative to sing at London’s 02 Arena.

About 10,000 people came together at the London venue to sing ‘It’s Alright’, which not only earnt them a place in the Guiness Book of Records but also raised money for Save the Children.

Students from across the UK joined celebrity singer Alexa Goddard on stage for the event, named ‘The Biggest Band Challenge’.

Some pupils sang and others played guitar or drums.

Ms MsGrath from the college said the pupils had ‘practised really hard and looked forward to it.’
