A COMMUNITY event was held at Selston library to mark the end of a stained glass window project.

Pupils at Selston Arts and Community College and youngsters at the Tin Hat Community Centre made stained glass windows for the village’s college and library.

And on Monday people gathered in the library for tea and biscuits to mark the end of the project and to thank those involved. They were also presented with booklets, showcasing the work that had been done.

The stained glass project was part of the Selstonia Living Heritage Project and was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The living heritage project worked with schools and community groups to look into the heritage of the village.

Project organisers are currently working on archiving their findings for schools to use.
