Reading Day for book lovers

Have your say

Book lovers are being invited to enjoy a celebration of reading as part of the annual Readers’ Day 2011 next month.

Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council have teamed up with the publisher Vintage Books to take part in the annual Readers’ Day 2011 on Saturday, November 5.

Several vintage authors will take part in the day, including David Lodge and Alison Weir.

The day has been organised with support from the Reading Agency which invited libraries nationally to submit a pitch to the publisher earlier this year to host a day of events centred around reading.

The event, set to attract 150 people, will take place at County Hall, in West Bridgford, from 9.15am to 4pm.

Cllr John Cottee said: “The day is packed full of exciting activities and workshops.”
