Recognised for excellence in science

Pupils and staff at Hempshill Hall Primary School in Nuthall are celebrating after becoming the first school in Nottingham City to achieve the Primary Science Quality Mark.

The school’s commitment to excellence in science teaching and learning has been recognised with a gold standard award.

Primary Science Mark’s reviewer Mary Darby who has monitored Hempshill’s stunning progress described the school’s achievements as ‘outstanding’.

“The school has a very strong ethos regarding sustainability and its green agenda is to be admired,” she said.
