Rumbletums to get cash for recycling

Community cafe Rumbletums is one of the first places in the UK to benefit from a new recycling scheme.

The cafe has signed up to a Kenco and Terracycle scheme called the Coffee Packaging Brigade, which aims to save coffee packaging waste from landfill and raise cash for community projects.

A collection box for local people to drop off all brands of coffee packaging waste is in place at the Victoria Street cafe.

Jeff Buck who arranged the deal said: “The aim is to not only save as much coffee packaging waste from landfill as possible but also to raise as much as possible for Rumbletums.”
