Special Jubilee service

ORGANISATIONS or groups celebrating their 60th anniversary this year are being urged to let Derby Cathedral know for a special celebration they are organising.

The service is being held to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on Sunday May 27.

The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mr William Tucker, said: “This will be a service of celebration and commemoration as we give thanks for the dedication, duty and service of Queen Elizabeth II and for the life of our local community.”

Schools, charities, uniformed and other community groups can let the cathedral know if they are in their 60th year by calling 01332 341201 or writing to Derby Cathedral Centre Office, 18/19 Iron Gate, Derby, DE1 3GP, or emailing office@derbycathedral.org.
