BROXTOWE Borough Council will celebrate the achievements of local people who dedicate their lives to volunteering, coaching and taking part in sport in the borough at a special awards ceremony this weekend.
The Broxtowe Borough Sports Review 2011 will take place in Nottingham, on Sunday, December 4.
The winners, who will be chosen from over 80 nominees across eight award categories, will be announced in front of an audience of local sports people, volunteers, coaches and their families, as well as local residents, councillors and Broxtowe Borough Council employees.
Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Cllr Richard Robinson, said: “The Broxtowe Borough Sports Review is a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge local people for their dedication and to congratulate them on their achievements over the past year.”
Earlier this year, residents from the area were invited to nominate local people for the awards.
