STUDENTS at Derby College’s Broomfield Hall campus raised cash for an animal charity by dying dogs fur and pampering pooches.

The dog grooming students transformed the animals to look like the wild cats to raise cash for Adopt a Tiger.

Sue Oliver, animal care lecturer at the college, said: “The students had great fun.

“More than £140 was collected which means the students can sponsor four tigers for a year.

“Thanks to everyone who donated the cash and supported the event.”

The college’s dog grooming salon is open to the public.

Bathing, clipping, styling, nail trimming and other services are on offer by students on the animal care courses.
