Time to get festive at switch-on event

Santa’s sleigh arrives in Kimberley today (Friday November 29) for the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.

Debbie and Shaun Lee of The Ryan Lee Trust will switch on the lights at 7pm, alongside Broxtowe Mayor Cllr Iris White.

Before that Father Christmas and his sleigh will be part of a tea light display through the streets.

Fireworks go off at 7.05pm and there is music from Kimberley School’s choir and the Salvation Army. There will also be a pre-school performance and a dance show at Holy Trinity church from 6pm.

And kids can meet Santa in his grotto at the Parish Hall from 7.15pm.
