EASTWOOD councillor Keith Longdon took the county’s highways chief Richard Jackson on a tour of the town’s roads.
The councillor showed Cllr Jackson, head of highways at Nottinghamshire County Council, the state of the roads, pointing out the worse areas and the potholes left after the harsh winter.
Cllr Longdon, who represents Eastwood on the county council, successfully lobbied the highways department last year to get Newmanleys Road and the pavements in Lynncroft Crescent resurfaced.
During this summer, Church Street will be resurfaced at a cost of £50,000, Walker Street at a cost of £25,000 and Greenhills Road will be resurfaced at a cost of £30,000.
Cllr Longdon said: “My thanks go to Cllr Jackson who has taken the time to visit Eastwood and agreed to the work on the above roads. I’ve promised him my full report on the state of the roads in Eastwood something that I did last year and have again completed this year.”
