AN exhibition on minerals and how they are mined is being held at Eastwood library.
Nottinghamshire County Council is about to launch a month-long public consultation about how vital minerals are quarried in the county over the next 20 years
As part of the consultation a display is travelling around the county’s libraries over the next few weeks, with an exhibition taking place in Eastwood library from March 5 until March 17.
In addition, an officer from the council planning team will be in Eastwood to answer questions from 11am to 1pm on March 6.
Every few years the council has to look at how materials such as sand and gravel, rock, brick clay, oil, gas and coal are provided.
