Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor Margaret Handley, has presented £4,950 to the Ryan Lee Trust, a charity formed in memory of Ryan Lee from Kimberley, who died of cancer aged 15 in May 2010.

The money was raised during her year of office, after she chose the Ryan Lee Trust as one of her charities. The money will be used to buy vital equipment not provided by the NHS or Social Services.

Councillor Handley said: “I am delighted to have raised this money, which will help ensure that terminally-ill children are given a better quality of life and can be cared for at home by their families.”
