EXPLORE how a Victorian Christmas was celebrated with a visit to the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum in Eastwood.
Costumed guides will lead visitors around the quaint Victorian home, educating people on the origins of Christmas traditions such as crackers, carol singing and mince pies.
Tours will be held between December 1 and 23 at 11.15am Tuesday to Sunday.
Weekend family tours will be held at 1.45pm on Saturdays and Sundays where children can dress up in Victorian costume.
It was customary in Victorian times to eat mince pies for 12 days of Christmas to ensure good luck for the following 12 months.
