VIDEO: Rocking out for a good cause

More than 200 music-lovers rocked until late into the night to raise more than £1,700 for charity last weekend.

The fourth annual New Disorder Festival at MFN, Shipley Gate, saw live bands on two stages, alongside a craft fair, exotic animal handling, inflatables, world record attempts, a display by Ilkeston firefighters and more.

The cash raised each year goes to Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse UK.

Organiser Tracy Holland, from West Hallam, is a victim support therapist for the charity. She said: “A big thank you to everybody involved – all the people who came along and supported the charity. In the current climate where everyone is feeling the pinch people have still been so generous. Despite the bad weather there was a great atmosphere – and we still had plenty of people drooling over the firemen!
